Hotel Cappuccino - Palma

Perfectly placed in the centre of the old town of Palma the Cappuccino exudes old world charm (despite only being built a few years ago). We had a premium room - at quite a discount from the hotel’s rate. The room was really well set out with a comfy sofa and chair in the seating area, and a very comfy king sized bed. The bathroom was gorgeous with a deep bath topped with a thick slab of marble. My only complaints were that the in bath shower went everywhere no matter what you did, and the television was really badly placed for both the seating area and the bed. But we didn’t watch the television much so not much of an issue for us. The hotel was really beautiful, with great use of gorgeous tiles. The lifts were a bit of a faff to operate as one had a tendency to reject the security card but once realised we used the other lift. The rooftop terrace was delightful but you would have to be quite hot to risk the very cold plunge pool. We had cocktails in the hotel on arrival and they were perfectly made and served quickly. We had lunch there on another day and the lunchtime offer was great. My only complaint was that the hotel was so popular for lunch that all of the best tables were gone. We had brunch at the hotel on the final day and at 35 euros per head found it a bit steep but still good value as it kept us fed until the late afternoon. Worth the money.

Gorgeous hotel. Rooftop pool with umbrellas and a lovely view. There's a phone available on the rooftop to order food and drinks. The room was a good size with a nice bath (no rain shower). There's also a sauna, small pool and shower available, though you need to make a reservation to use these facilities. The service was not five star (some minor issues at front desk and with restaurant service).
