Augustana House

We had a very lovely 3-night stay at Augustana House April 18-21. The receptionist was fantastic and showed us two rooms to choose from, one having a balcony that overlooked the river. Although the street adjacent to the river is noisy with traffic you could not hear it when the balcony door was closed. The balcony was a nice feature for the room. I requested ice for my drink in the evening and this was provided to me and the next day when reception was not available they left me ice in the fridge. This goes a long way in my opinion and it was greatly appreciated. The hotel was centrally located and the receptionist showed us the main attractions on a map of the city, which we had already planned out. One the day of departure the receptionist called us a taxi for the train station and it arrived promptly. The bed was comfortable and amenities in the room good. A bonus was the mini-fridge for our evening drinks. Overall, a fantastic stay and we’d recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome!

Augustana House was AMAZING! We finished the last 3 days of our Italy trip in Rome. We arrived before check in and Sergio was so helpful with our luggage and keeping it safe while we went to see the sights in Rome. The location was easy to get to and close to many sights. We walked to many places but also took a taxi to save time. When we returned later that night, our luggage was already in our room with water and everything we needed without asking. The blackout blinds/curtains were great. We slept the best when we checked in at The Augustana House. The beds were comfortable and the shower water was hot with good water pressure. Every day we returned to clean room with bed made and fresh towels. Maya and Alessandra were great also. They called a taxi for us and the taxi was in front of hotel in less than 5 min. We came in late most nights and they made sure with water and ice after a long day out and about. Any staff members I didn’t mention, they were great also. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others and will return when we come back to Rome. Thank y’all so much!
