    After an event in Hershey, I booked this room for 1 night and arrived late in the evening. The first red flag should have been the cat sitting in the window of one of the rooms, which which ended up being a couple doors down from the room I was given. The place looked a bit run down, but it was also dark and late, so I was willing to give it a try. However, I didn’t have the chance to get a night’s rest here, or even settle in, because despite the room looking clean, there was such an overpowering smell of cat urine the moment I let myself into the room. After requesting a different room, the kind, quiet young man at the desk did give me another room on the 3rd Floor. Upon getting into the elevator, the aroma reminded me of a farm, and it had clearly not been cleaned recently. Unfortunately, the second I opened the door to the second room, it, too, had an overpowering smell. This time though, it was strong cigarette smoke. At that point, I went back to the front desk, returned the room key, and let the desk attendant know that I would not be staying the night. There did not to seem to be any surprise on his part, nor did he encourage me to reconsider. Made the 3 hour drive home and at 2:30am, I was grateful to be climbing into my own bed for the remainder of my night’s sleep. While I appreciate the desk attendant and his willingness to work with me on a second room, I cannot recommend this hotel to any other traveler based on my own experience…

    Place was great for where I was going hiking with my wife, but Place was not very aesthetically pleasing could use more than a couple coats of pain on the wall and the deep clean other than that location close to State Park local community, friendly staff, ignorant and unhelpful
