Everything was as expected in a good hotel. The Housekeeping staff kept my room spotless. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfasts were enormous! The wait staff were very accommodating. It was very useful to be able to borrow a hotel umbrella! I would stay here again if I was ever in Halifax in the future.

Excellent hotel. Very well managed, great staff, very helpful. Food was very good including the breakfast. The terrace is a very nice area to have lunch or dinner during the summer. We didn’t have a chance to test the bar but it did look very appealing. Happy Hour is somewhat tricky as the promotion highlights drinks at half price but then the drinks are served in half size glasses…The Happy Hour food menu is also very limited. One issue was the air conditioning on our floor which was kept at a very low level so it was freezing when walking in the hallway. Our room was very nice and importantly we controlled the AC. However, the cleaning staff tended to turn on the AC at a very low level when cleaning the room and it was freezing in our room when we were getting back…. Wasted energy and not good for the environment.
