The Runnymede on Thames Hotel and Spa

What a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting overlooking the Thames. Nice spa. Two restaurants to chose from. Complimentary water in room with fridge tea, coffee, hot chocolate cookies & biscuits. Entertainment a bonus.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall had a decent experience. The property is located right next to the M25, but surprisingly, the noise wasn’t particularly bothersome. Breakfast is served as a buffet, and the quality is good, although the selection is quite limited. For a longer stay, I would probably find it disappointing, but for two nights, it didn’t make much difference. I had a deluxe room, which was very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom could definitely use an update. There is a bathtub without a handheld shower, which isn’t very practical. On the positive side, the room included plush bathrobes, a Nespresso machine with capsules, hot chocolate, biscuits, and an incredibly comfortable bed. The bathroom amenities were provided in dispensers (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion). The hotel seems extremely popular with older guests travelling in organised groups — at times it felt a bit like being in a care home. On the ground floor, there is a lovely spa and a modern gym equipped with Technogym machines. They offer group classes both in the gym and in the pool, and there are several types of saunas as well as a massage chair.

Fantastic hotel on the Thames with great room nice breakfast and loads of entertainment- would highly recommend
