Very nice hotel by a river in a small village. Room was very clean and shower excellent. It was nice to walk to a little local bar for a beer with my travelling companions, before a very nice and good value dinner in the hotel. Breakfast was good. Only slight downside was the open parking across the road for our motorcycles, but there were no issues. I would certainly consider staying again, and maybe using it as a base for a tour of Normandy and Brittany.

We loved the hotel. We arrived late but, in the morning, we had a lovely surprise - looking out of our window we saw a very beautiful tranquil setting - the lovely River Selune flowing by the hotel and wildflowers, long grasses, and ancient buildings. The hotel room was clean and spacious, breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were very accommodating. We would highly recommend the hotel.

Not so great. Bed was really firm and pillows uncomfortable. The curtain over the window had hooks missing and was difficult to close and didn’t really fit the window properly. We had a river view but tiny window that wasn’t worth it. Very disappointing

Get the river view even off season which we did. You can open your window and hear the soothing sounds. The room was well appointed, modern and clean. The on-site restaurant was pretty good too considering the front desk staff do double duty to cook as well. Service was top notch. Also the surrounding quiet and charming town has street vendors who setup shop for the locals but they spoken English too. It’s nice to be able to see a town that’s not a bunch of souvenir shops every block. We only stayed for a day but it was worth it since we were already weary from our time in Paris.

- no internet and management did not care -electricity went out early morning and again management didn’t resolve until mid morning. No explanation given. - Bath room tile had disgusting moly - no shower gel. Container empty - flies in room and restaurant - breakfast eggs seem were from day before. We asked for a fresh batch. - will never stay again. Don’t recommend this hotel. - Totally lack of caring management. A shame for a prestigious American chain

This was our favorite hotel of our 2 week trip. King size bed, great bathroom, automatic lights, lots of outlets. The most charming building in the cutest town. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. If this could be my room everywhere I traveled I would be so happy.

Beautiful little village area, easy parking, on quite river with old bridge which can see from some rooms, nicely remodled modern rooms/shower, excellent breskfast with many options for all. Staff helpful with late check-in near 10pm.

We came in late, and the hotel called to make sure we got there before 11 pm to get best service. The Best Western was modest but comfortable, including very comfortable beds! The breakfast was charming French style. The inn was situated next to a small river, so pretty, with ample parking across the street in a dirt lot. Again, simple but not common for a French hotel in a small town. The room rates were low, but the hotel was very pleasant, well run and functional, a lot for the price

The location of the hotel suited us perfectly for the places that we wanted to visit. Great boulangeries in the town - the market on Tuesday morning was great. Culture and language differences proved a problem with certain staff members as they couldn’t understand certain things. Our visit was around the DDay celebrations and it certainly felt like it was that period of time as the sugar, tea, coffee and toilet paper were heavily rationed. Whilst we opted not to have our room cleaned each day ( in terms of the hotels “green” policy), we had to keep on asking for these things and then were only given 2 sugars at a time. We were however very impressed with the service provided by Tom and Nicola(the gentleman serving drinks and meals) who went out of their way to be very efficient and helpful. Pity the rest of the staff couldn’t match their standards.
