    When you come to a guesthouses and no one is their and you have to quickly make plans for new accommodation. Road Lodge assited quickly with a new booking . On arrival at 9pm staff was friendly and assisted me quickly so we could get a room. Day staff also friendly. When you needed something you where helped immediately. Food was fresh. Breakfast had a variety to choose from. Rooms where an clean. Beds Made when coming back from a long day. Thank you for making our stay comfortable

    The booking was made for my father who is elderly and disabled. Due to a change in travel plans I needed to book quickly and thought the Road Lodge would provide comfort for 1 night before traveling for holiday. Firstly, the only room for disabled individuals was being used for storage of company gazebos that they had used for their Christmas party and never moved since then. We had booked for the 27th Dec. So clearly it meant that since the Christmas party, no one had gone into that room, which was also confirmed by the reception staff that had saucer eyes asking each other if the room was cleaned in front of me. The common area with the ice machine had water spills on the floor. It was seen and not cleaned. The public bathrooms near reception were also dirty with pieces of toilet paper on the floor. Regretted the decision and would never recommend it, even for an 8hr stopover. Staff was green and not empowered about how to address customer issues though they tried to show concern.
