Hotel Convento San Roque

I loved my stay here. I had the superior double room, which was beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the snacks and coffee that were lovingly provided every day. The exterior is unique and gorgeous. I did not have the chance to eat at the restaurant, but I enjoyed eating a peaceful lunch outside at the tables. I recommend this place 100%.

The property is a converted old convent, so it has plenty of charm. There is secure parking included, which is very important for us motorcyclists. The basic twin room was big enough, very clean with en-suite bathroom. The shower was great with good water pressure. There is no breakfast or dinner but it’s very near several good restaurants.

This is a really beautiful little hotel in a historical building. Our room (Junior suite) was just gorgeous and very much in keeping with the historical ambiance while the bathroom was highly modern with a great shower. A beautiful inner courtyard invites for reading a book or having a glass of wine while the terrace outside comes to life with locals in the evening. An ideal place to stay as a convenient halfway point between the Basque mountains and Bilbao (bus leaves half-hourly right outside the hotel, and there's trains too).
