lovely staff. clean room. small. Carpet plus heavy curtains plus heavy bed frame = a lot of dust which exacerbated allergy symptoms and made sleeping quite uncomfortable. Also first night was event on with room beside coat check? =very loud and unable to work

Lovely hotel, staff very welcoming, and very clean, I stayed in a superior single room, no need to any frills as was only a place to sleep, very quiet even with window open best sleep I have had in years

Location was critical for us as needed post op to stay near Harley St. rooms are small and all furniture tired. Sad every time to enter stairs not clean, food trays left on stairs for hours. The bed mattress is on the hard side and linen showing signs of heavy wear. The films on tv were all chargeable and many channels not working. The electrics can be quirky you need certain switches in certain positions to get the lights to work on entry. We were in room 2O8 opposite a tavern and the noise and singing went well past 1am which was followed by drunk guests on stairs and bottles being emptied. There is no air conditioning, the heating was on full blast the only way to cook it is open the window but again the noise.
The biggest positive is the kindness and helpfulness of staff.

Booked requesting 1 large bed (rather than twins) and found room only had small single bed, room was tiny, bathroom even smaller, with smallest shower cubical I’ve ever been in! When I challenged hotel staff was told it was ‘superior room with single bed’! There was nothing superior about this room. Shame as rest of hotel/breakfast was fine.
