    I booked this hotel very last minute so it was quite a high price, like all other hotels round Heathrow at the time though. Booking in advance would have been better a better price I hope. Room was nice, hotel is a historic building with nice view of the Thames. Staff very pleasant. Main let down was the mattress. Way too soft and foamy.

    The "Heathrow T5" reference is misleading. The hotel is nowhere near the airport and is difficult to get to. This is an old building, poorly maintained. No elevators and steep stairs. "River view" through a small window mostly blocked by a roof. Terrible "buffet" breakfast. Breathtakingly overpriced. Poorly ventilated during a heat wave and only weak fans available. Staines is a charming little city and the location of the hotel on the thames ought to be a draw. Don't be tempted.

    A lovely stay for one night and close to HRW. The only slight disadvantage is the cold tiled floor in the bathroom- perhaps under floor heating especially in winter maybe a option.

    So the bed was okay. However you had to make your own bed each day and they have sign to say your room will be serviced every 3 days. Although asking many times my room was serviced 2 times in 15 days. They say they can’t get staff but there is a lot of office staff that sit behind closed doors with no one at reception. If you want tea or coffee replenished you have to ask at reception each day and ask for towels as you need them. Even when they did service the room they did not vacuum the floor or attempt to clean the mould from the bathroom. I wrote to OYO who run the hotel but don’t expect a response. Oh well better luck next time
