Our AC was working, other buildings were not. Location is best for people who prefer to be south of the river, such as near Borough Market/The Tate, but you can also be in SoHo/Covent Garden/Tower of London in about 30/40 minutes by bus/tube combo. Canary Wharf is directly across the river, and the ferry crossing was quick, free and simple.

Our stay for one night was not cheap as it was Saturday night. On arrival the communication from staff was not good regarding room directions, we had not here stayed before and finding our room was not initially straightforward plus the lift to the rooms in our area was out of order. Unfortunately, around midnight the fire alarm went off. The alarm continued to go off for hours, we were all evacuated but there was little communication from staff explaining what was happening. Small children were upset waiting outside. My own daughter was scared as it was mentioned there was some kind of attack within the hotel but again there was minimal communication from staff. There were police, ambulance and a fire engine outside. The fire brigade could not turn off the fire alarms. They said we could return to our rooms but the sound level of the alarms in the rooms was unbearable so we waiting around outside. The alarms finally went off just before 2am. The rest of our night was unsettled due to what happened and then we had to get up and be out by 11am. It was not an enjoyable stay, we had no apology from the hotel and the communication was non existent.

We were given an room where ac is broken, the staff told me that they nothing they can do than to wait for the next day wait for the technician, they did not offered another room, I just insisted to transfer us to a new room. We also extended our stay for 1 night and paid for the extension on the first day but they gave our room on the last day to another group and the reason is we were already checked out. They don’t even apologized for that. Our key was also not working and have to be replaced 3x, again no apology. They were not even greeting us properly.
