Instructions for finding the location/keys a bit confusing.

Proximity to ChCh city’s centre. Had dishwasher, microwave, kettle and washing machine/ dryer for clothes. Prompt replies from owner.

Some human nails and hairs in the bathroom cupboard found when we arrived in the above sink mirror cabinet. The front door handle was loose/ not working properly to access the front of the property and no access code given to securely lock said front door. We notified the owner, whom then sent a repairman over without confirming we would first be at home at that day/ time, therefore disturbing us when we were still dressed in our pajamma’s. The repairman was very nice, but couldn’t communicate to us without using a translation app. After he left, despite the front door code being given to us, the handle STILL wasn’t working properly- it was so loose that we were scared to use it in case it fell off in our hands. The shower head had to be fixed by the repairman to prevent it from continually falling off. The cutlery from previous guest’s were not cleaned properly- dried food debris were on multiple pieces meaning we had to clean them prior to use. The dishwasher came with powder to use but we suspect the previous guests used too much as powder residue was left residing in the washer itself and multiple glasses when we arrived. The washing machine has powder supplied but that particular machine brand is better for liquid detergent as evidenced by the copious dried powder residue stuck in the washing machine detergent slot/ compartment drawer. The owner or cleaner almost entered the property at 9:30 on the day of our departure when our check out time was 10:00. We were packing our bags in the dining room and saw a lady try to open the garden gate, take out her phone to point at the windows, before hurriedly walking away again. No indoor drying racks- in winter time this is essential in an Air BNB or hotel room as not all clothes can be safely dried in the washing machine/ dryer.

property is tidy and facilities are there.

washing machine is not maintained and stopped couple of times. Big bushes at the entrance not trimmed posing danger to kids while entering the house.

Location and simplicity was great.

Would be good to have some dishes that are microwavable. Coffee machine really good but leaks.
