Yes. Serious problem. It took us nearly three hours after midnight to unlock the apartment door on our first night there. It was a very big lock with 3 or 4 large bars and a latch with a special key. It needed to be turned a couple of times to 'sound' locked and to remove the key upon leaving. When we repeated the process on our return, nothing happened. We couldn't tell whether or not the handl.e was supposed to turn after the key. It was very hard to move. .In the hall, we couldnt access email in the hall to try to contact colleagues for help, and were thinking about sleeping in the hall. Suddenly, after a couple more tries, the door popped open. Since we were wide awake by now, we decided to try getting in and out with one of us inside and the other out. The possibilty of one of us being trapped seemed quite strong. At least we could get Wifi, so we contacted a colleague about moving out the next day, and the Self Check in company for help. The company got back to us first thing in the morning, but told us to watch the video in the multiple pages of instructions in Croation we dont speak and hadnt had time to read. We managed to translate them, watched the video which told us in a couple of seconds how to open the door in a onventional manner. No indication of how to lock it. Meanwhile, since we had some food with us from an earlier apartment stay that was A1, our colleague was arranging alternate accommodation, and we got a note from the host company to make a video of the door, At the same time we got a message that a pickup was coming soon. No time for videography, but we sent a pic of the key. We figured the lock was a bit touchy when our colleague had some trouble opening it when we first arrived, but this seems like a maintenance job the company or flat owner willl hopefully look into. We hope our business colleague will be reimbursed for the two remaining nights didn't stay at this otherwise quire satisfactory apartment.
