Lua de Caldelas

As our stay and explorations progressed, we fell more and more under the spell of this establishment and its hosts. Everything is tastefully designed : a natural, elegant, and charming decor, an authentic atmosphere, and hosts of a truly delightful simplicity. A special mention goes to the breakfast, featuring excellent quality products. A wonderful discovery that charmed us a little more each day. Thank you very much and see you very soon!!

What surprised us a little at first was that our hosts didn't speak any Portuguese at all, even though Caldelas is a small, authentic town in northern Portugal. We were there with my 87-year-old father, who didn't speak English. For him, this was sometimes a little frustrating and made communication more difficult. But, as the days went by, we appreciated their efforts and their genuine desire to communicate. Thanks to their open-mindedness, their adaptability, and the attention they pay to their guests, we are certain they will progress quickly and soon feel increasingly comfortable speaking Portuguese.

Alles sehr liebevoll - am meisten hat mir die Einrichtung sowie das mit viel Liebe zubereitete Frühstück gefallen.

Wir waren an einer Hochzeit und somit lange unterwegs und als wir in unser Zimmer wollten, war die grosse Gartentür geschlossen. Wir fanden keine Möglichkeit diese um 3 Uhr morgens zu öffnen und mussten deshalb klettern.

Local central em Caldelas, ao lado da igreja de Santiago, numa propriedade com casa antiga, reconstruída e gerida como AL de grande qualidade. Gostamos de tudo: da qualidade da cama, do sossego (só cortado pelo barulho do sino da igreja), das esculturas e artefactos espalhada pela casa, da autoria da Keren, do pequeno almoço variado e suculento, das conversas com o Ziv, o outro proprietário.

De não ter estado mais tempo e apreciar melhor a magia dos espaços comuns da casa.

Wir waren hier für 2 Nächte, sehr schöne Unterkunft, nette Vermieter, welche auch Ausflugtipps gegeben haben, fantastisches Abendessen und super Frühstück. Lage etwas oberhalb , ruhig , alles war perfekt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fällt uns nichts ein.
