Loved the homely feel of the house. It's very centrally located. Easy walk into town with everything accessible. Also perfectly situated for exploring the Peak District. The little courtyard garden is really pretty but unfortunately due to 7 days of rain we were not able to use it. There is no parking directly outside the house but parking in the side streets nearby was not an issue. We always managed to find a space.
The house is on a busy main road. The thunder of large lorries passing actually shakes the house. If sleeping in the front bedroom earplugs are essential. Some basic kitchen utensils are missing like spatulas. We arrived to very unseasonably cold and wet weather but could not get the central heating to work. Had to repressurise the boiler ourselves the next day.

This property was a home away from home. It was so beautifully put together with all the thoughtful final touches other hosts wouldn't think of. We had all the amenities and more available, so it was super easy to cater for ourselves. Apart from a large hike at the three shires waterfall - we barely left the property. It even had the same showers as mine which was delightful! A fantastic place to celebrate turning 40!
The property is an older property with bundles of character, but that also means there's no drive / garage for parking. No biggie, as we found parking for three cars across the road on the other neighbouring streets. We were able to load our cases in front of the property so it didn't inconvenience us.

We loved our stay at the property. The house is well located to explore both Buxton town with all its lovely history and restaurants. Lots of great walks direct from the house including the cavern. The house itself was very beautifully decorated and cosy. Very easy to find and we found parking simple (it was an icy weekend so we found the council car park a couple of minutes walk the best option and good value). Hosts were really helpful and super responsive. We hope to return soon.
