Wonderful location Excellent views

The apartment is amazing. Being so high up, the views were spectacular of the river, the city and the ocean. The room was spacious and everything you could need was within walking distance. The location can’t be beaten. Coles is just downstairs as are restaurants and shops. We didn’t need our car at all. The apartment was clean and tidy with floorboards throughout. The resort itself has amazing facilities. The keys were close by and super easy to find and access. For the money, the apartment was great and I would book again purely for the price as you can’t book through the Chevron direct for that price but I would not call it a retreat. Definitely needs some attention.

I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. I would not call it a retreat. It’s a basic apartment with great views. It lacked crockery and cutlery (we had to buy more). Plates didn’t fit in the microwave. Couch was disgusting and not sufficient for a family of 4. 3 chairs for the balcony (for a family of 4) which were also sagging as were the dining chairs. The exhaust fan in the ensuite didn’t work and set off the smoke detector. The shower curtain was putrid. The shower head in the ensuite kept falling down so you have to hold it. The bunk bed was swaying as it was flimsy. The dishwasher leaked on the kitchen floor. It wasn’t overloaded as there wasn’t enough crockery to fill it. Unfortunately, we weren’t told there was work happening on the tower we were in so we had ropes hanging outside the bedroom window which bash against the glass all day/night in the wind and men up and down all day as we were on the balcony. The neighbour also smokes marijuana so we had to keep the balcony door closed to stop the smell wafting in. The dryer only blew cold air and took 7+ hours of running to dry anything. Contacted property manager on our last day who told me I had to do a manual reset of the dryer to get it to work. If that was known, why were we not told or instructions left? I’ve never had a dryer that needs a reset before use. We needed that dryer every second day. No information booklet in the room. Wifi kept cutting out and we had to download a heap of apps on the TV just to watch free to air TV. Some of these things were mentioned in previous reviews well over a month ago but sadly, nothing has changed or improved and the property manager told me that they are rectifying these issues. I doubt it and think that is just a brush off. Lots of inexpensive fixes to make it more comfortable. Also, this listing and others by this property manager state the resort has a water slide and/or water park. It has neither so don’t hold hopes of seeing either.

Location was perfect and the view was great.

A few faults with the room -Blanket between the sheets looked like they had old bloods stains. (Main room) - bathroom door didn’t slide open or closed without falling off the rails. (Main room ensuit) - iron leaked water so we couldn’t iron our clothes. - heat setting didn’t work for longer than 5 mins on the Dryer, only cold worked. - broken toilet seat in the bathroom that is shared with the laundry. - not enough cutlery and plates to accommodate for our family of 5.
