The location and views were absolutely 10/10, but unfortunately the cabin itself was definitely not worth the money. We stayed there for Valentine’s Day as I wanted to surprise my wife. The description stated that it would be warm inside. It was around 4°C outside, and inside it was only maybe a couple of degrees warmer. There was no proper information about the heating in the listing. After calling the owner, she brought over a small portable heater, and the cabin only finally warmed up after about 6 hours. For €220 per night, the level of responsibility from the owners was basically zero. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. It was also unclear whether the bedding had been changed, as after making the bed we found stains and long dark hairs on the sheets. Overall, we would definitely not stay there again and would not recommend it to others — especially not for that price.

Great place to stay with kids

Beautiful place, very relaxing and great for kids as they all run around and play together.

We stayed 3 nights and the small things such as toilet paper/ coffee and tea and wood for the hot tub was only enough for 1 night so everyday we had to ask the cleaners for more.. which they have gladly but could be better if we didn’t have to ask all the time. Also I booked for 2 adults and 1 child, and the child’s bed wasn’t made up.

Not suitable for a group night away

The view was nice on arrival, the double bed is comfortable.

We arrived and there was no hot-tub, I contacted the number provided who explained that we booked the luxury glamping hut and not the one with the hot tub. It is not very clear on the description that not all huts have the hot tub. Infact only one does. Also, there were quite a few cobwebs in the hut, the fridge was not turnt on. It was booked for 3 adults and the only toilet roll left was a roll and a half, which is not suitable for 3 adults for a nights stay. Coffee sachets and teabags are provided with the electric kettle, however there is no milk provided. When the description states all amenities provided including an electric kettle you would believe that as luxury there would be some milk with the fridge turnt on. If youre going as a group of 3 or 4 adults, I do not recommend this stay as the bunk beds are very small and would only fit a child.

Lovely experience

My partner and I spent a Bank Holiday weekend at Carrickreagh Bay, and it was a delightful escape into nature. The glamping pods are cozy and thoughtfully designed. The large glazed entrance provided breathtaking views of Lough Erne, especially during sunrise. We appreciated the modern amenities, including Wi-Fi. During the day, we took advantage of the nearby walking trails in Ely Lodge Forest and enjoyed the stunning landscapes and views of Lower Lough Erne.

Evenings were particularly special as we sat by the fire pit, toasting marshmallows under a starry sky. However, it's worth noting that the fire pack, which includes logs and kindling, comes at an additional cost of £20 (€24)... Next time, we will remember to bring our own :-) While the pod included a kettle and mini-fridge, we found the kitchen space to be quite limited, and there was no microwave available. This made preparing meals a bit challenging, so we opted to dine out in nearby Enniskillen. We also use a disposable barbecue for cooking breakfast.
