Highly recommended, gorgeous caravan with everything you need

We booked here for 2 nights for New Year’s Eve with all the family and had a fantastic time . The Caravan was lovely clean and tidy had everything you could possibly want in it ! Even got left a lovely present s for us all ! The Host was really lovely and helpful , explained how the heating worked and everything could nt do enough for us all . We all knew there was nothing open on site that was opened that was explained by the host and on here but that was nt a problem plenty to do near by and we bought our own games to play . And went on the balcony and could watch the fireworks . It was truly great there .

Terrible site, terrible stay, nothing worked

It was clean, but extremely cold, doors got stuck so you had to use a butter knife to get into the toilet. Boiler had to stay on 24/7 as soon as you turned it down it lost all heat. It was fairly well presented caravan and tidy but that's all

It was advertised that you had access to the facilities but when we got to site the owner then told us the entire site is closed, it is 20 minute drive to anywhere of any use, we took a dog and he wanted £25 cash offered it by bank transfer but he wanted cash to dodge the tax. The sites speed bumps was so big they damaged my car, we left the next morning because nothing to do, no phone signal, paid for upgraded WiFi which didn't work so I had a big financial loss

Loved our stay

Our host greeted us on arrival with an unexpected welcome hamper which was lovely. Property was clean, tidy and catered to a varied age range. We loved our stay and would recommend Ocean View at Glade to friends and family. Served as a good basecamp for our travels to nearby beaches, towns and attractions.

Fantastic! We had such a good time. Lovely place to stay.

The caravan was clean, well-equipped, and genuinely comfortable. A lovely selection of welcome treats from our hosts awaited when we arrived. Welcome folder with attraction leaflets and park activity timings etc. The Kitchen had everything we needed for easy, stress-free meals. The shower was spacious and powerful — a lovely surprise. Great to have 2 toilets for getting everyone ready & out the door to enjoy the day. Shelves offered a wide selection of DVDs (particularly for younger guests). The park is Ideally located for family favourites such as Clovelly, The Big Sheep, and The Milky Way. The Merry Harrier is also nice for an hour or so on the way back from somewhere. We Enjoyed delicious meals at The Bell Inn (Parkham) and Belluno (Bideford). Affinity Shopping Centre is nearby (10 mins drive) with a large Asda, Aldi, Domino’s, McDonald’s and an absolute hidden gem — The Really Wild Experience (book ahead!). Affinity shops are a great way to spend a few retail therapy hours. The Outside terrace & garden furniture was perfect for soaking up sunshine with a cuppa in the morning or glass of wine at the end of the day. We didn’t use the onsite restaurant or entertainment centre—they’re just not our thing—but that didn’t affect our stay at all. The caravan itself was quiet & comfortable. Overall, The caravan made a lovely, relaxing base for adventure-filled days and we loved it.

The double bed mattress was a bit too bouncy for our taste. A couple of board games would’ve been a welcome touch. The DVD collection leaned heavily towards the kiddie end of the spectrum — a few teen/action titles wouldn’t go amiss. Trees near the caravan have grown tall and now limit what we suspect was once a glorious sea view — but glimpses of the beautiful water still easily peek through. The On-site WiFi was patchy, and we got it in the neck from our teen who “has to stay in touch with people”. We hopped to McDonald’s for a stronger signal — modern survival tactics!

Wonderful little getaway!

Loved the place, it was really clean and modern. The size was perfect for the 6 of us! Great location of the static caravan, really short walk to the swimming pools and the restaurant. The host was incredible and really welcoming, I would definitely come back!

The place itself was great, however the only downfall of the holiday park was the lack of the entertainment whilst we were there and the shop closing really early. Other than that everything else was amazing!

Tom was the perfect host, got us and the kids little treats, met us to explain everything with the keys etc and helped us with our request, his communication leading up to the stay was excellent and just a really lovely chap. He also mentioned they have more than one caravan within the park so could potentially accommodate larger bookings in future for separate caravans. The caravan was clean with all the things and more you might need for a stay. Location was very good. It was 6 minutes away from the Milky Way theme park and 16 minutes from westward Ho beach. Which was a lovely beach with clear waters and lots of food options and arcades etc for the family. it was a close walk to all amenities within the park. Will be coming back. And would recommend.

I liked everything and it’s definetly not that much of a negative but my only critique is that the wardrobes in some of the rooms had stuff stored in so if you are utilising all rooms you would have to move out the stuff to be able to store your clothes, especially if you are staying for a longer period of time.

Great service, lovely location

I needed an early check-in as my work plans changed, which left me a bit stranded. Tom was very accommodating and allowed me to get into the caravan early. A lovely peaceful spot to unwind.

Lovely short break in clean, comfortable accommodation.

Lovely clean accommodation with everything you needed . Met by friendly host who had left welcome hamper and gifts for us. Good views in a quiet setting. Used Parkdean facilities which were also very good with friendly staff. Plenty to do in the surrounding area with Westward Ho ! Beach a short drive away.

Occasional lack of parking nearer the caravan was only a small problem on a couple of occasions but didn’t really impact on our stay.

Fantastic host and accomodation

The property has everything and more you need. A lovely little welcome pack and to meet your host. It was a personal service and much appreciated. I liked that I was able to keep the property clean with appliances provided making sure muddy paws weren't an issue. Tom was lovely and really helpful and ensured that we knew all we needed to know. Would totally recommend and would return.

There was nothing really maybe a light on the terraced area but not a big issue as watching the stars in undisturbed light was awesome too.
