    Loved this hotel. They are perfectly located near the bund though do not rely on google maps to tell you where it is. It’s completely inaccurate. It was super close to Yu gardens which we loved and had tons of food near by. The breakfast is good with lots of Chinese options. Little pastries and western options but we didn’t mind. We did take advantage of their “free” photoshoot where they did our makeup and let us dress up in the old Shanghai glamour style. However when I say “free” it’s bc it’s not since if you want more then their 4 free photos you end up paying a ton. 80 yuan per picture after the 4. But I have to say the photos were absolutely gorgeous so I ended up spending about 150usd on 20 pictures. The staff of the hotel do not speak any English like most places in China. So relying on apps is necessary. Be sure to download google translate, Alipay, WeChat, didi apps if you want to do anything in China.

    Truly enjoyed my stay here and the location was central to key highlights such as the Huangpu river cruise as well as Yu Garden. The room we booked was spacious and had a very comfy bed and pillows. Staff were friendly throughout the stay and quick to provide help. What stood out most for me was the travel photography services in partnership with the hotel. Both the photographer and the make up artist for us on 11 June were stellar - they made us feel comfortable and encouraged us through the poses. I love that the clothes, makeup and hairstyle for my daughter and me were absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful stay and precious memories!

    I recently stayed at Blossom House Shanghai On The Bund and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the service. The hotel staff asked us to locate and collect our own Taobao parcels due to a shortage of staff, which was quite inconvenient and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Housekeeping was also below expectations. Our room rubbish, including Taobao parcel boxes, was not cleared, and the used drinking glasses were left unwashed during our stay. Another concern was security. Our room was located on Level 7, which is the same level as the hotel lobby and does not require a room card for access. This made us feel that the security and privacy of the guest rooms were insufficient. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. It is within walking distance to the beautiful Yu Garden area, making it convenient for sightseeing and dining. Overall, while the location is excellent, the service, housekeeping, and security concerns significantly affected our stay.
