Welcome to our custom-built Aframe in the woods just 90 minutes from Nashville. This quiet retreat perched on the Cumberland Plateau gives you access to the hikes and waterfalls the area is known for, while offering an elevated guest experience.
Enjoy the soaking tub, gas fireplace, fast wifi, Smart TV, well-appointed kitchen, and bluff views.
Sewanee University, Cumberland Caverns, Fiery Gizzard, and Sweetens Cove are all within a short drive.

The Sewanee area is truly a special place – and has been attracting visitors for generations because of its pristine natural beauty and small town charm. You`ll find adorable local shops and restaurants to pop into, as well as breathtaking hikes for all experience levels. Golf, live music, and bourbon are all within a short drive.

Ride Share isn`t available out here so you`ll need a car to get around. We`ve got parking for at least 3 cars in the driveway.
The aframe is located in a secluded community that offers plenty of privacy. We do want to be respectful of our neighbors. See HOA policy below.

Required STR Lease Agreement Clauses
Note: The language below must be posted on the rental platform site listing and prominently displayed within the Rental Property.
To the extent now or hereafter permitted by applicable law, the lessee shall hold harmless the Cooley’s Rift Homeowners’ Association, Inc. from and against any and all liability related to access to and use of any Association facilities, structures, roadways, gate, natural habitats (including lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and trails) or other common areas contained within the Cooley’s Rift community.
The lessee also acknowledges and agrees to abide by all Cooley’s Rift rules.
Summary of Rules for Owners & Guests
Note: The following rules must be provided directly to tenants and prominently displayed in the residence by the owners. Owners may convey additional rules as they deem appropriate.
No Open Burning - Fires are permitted in pavilion firepit and owner firepits. Violation of this policy is subject to $1000.00 fine.
Road Weight Limits - 10 ton per axle.
Road Speed Limit 25 MPH - Please watch carefully for walkers, joggers, bikers.
Enjoy trail system at your own risk.
All Cooley’s Rift amenities are for owners in good standing and their invited guests only.
Enjoy Lake Louisa at your own risk. Persons under 14 must have adult supervision.
No gas motors allowed on Lake Louisa.
Quiet Hours - Please limit noise after 10:00 PM.
No Hunting – No Discharge of Firearms – No Fireworks
Please treat our house like you would your own. We built this aframe from scratch and we hope to see it last many generations.
No unregistered guests allowed - just DM us if you`d like to bring extra people with you.
This is not a party house - it`s a great place for families and small groups of friends. Kindly respect our noise curfew of 10pm.
We`ve spent lots of time putting the house together and these pieces hold meaning for us. If you break them, you buy them.
