The Buddy, a historic yet modernized cottage, is located just steps from beautiful North beach and positioned in the enviable "double water corridor" between Lake Michigan and the Harbor's edge
The Buddy was built in 1908 and later relocated to the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan in 1926. In 2026, in honor of its 100 years in South Haven, it was renovated to restore it to its former glory.
The Buddy offers lake and river views with open-concept entertaining and private relaxation spaces. Boasting hardwood floors, a modern kitchen with commercial appliances, cozy bedrooms, a fireplace, and charming outdoor spaces, The Buddy is the perfect upscale spot to make memories.
The property is now equipped with central heat and air conditioning, allowing you to enjoy the heat of the beach but return to cool, comfortable conditions when you choose.
The main level is a stunner offering a fully-equipped modern kitchen with Subzero and Wolf appliances as well as a beautiful dining room perfect for dinner parties. This level has a living room with TV and fireplace, one bedroom, and a full bath with a new washer and dryer. A fenced-in courtyard with barbecue grill and back deck complete the downstairs space, offering the perfect spot for your morning coffee or a cookout with friends.
The upper level has lake and river views. It hosts a master bedroom with direct upper deck access and full bathroom. The other bedroom upstairs contains two twin XL beds and also has access to a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. A serene and cozy den completes the upstairs with a wine refrigerator, sleeper sofa, and entrance to the upper deck. The upper deck, offering lake and river views, will quickly become your favorite spot for morning coffee or evening sunset views.
