There is a lovely walk along the Peddars Way to Castle Acre but however you get there, make time to explore this historical site. Add in Castle Rising, Peckover House, Norwich Castle, the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn and the Houghton, Holkham and Sandringham Estates and you will soon see why so many history buffs head to this part of Norfolk.Nature lovers will find themselves within easy reach of Swaffham Common, Thetford Forrest with its High Lodge and Go Ape, Welney Wetlands and RSPB Snettisham Marshes.
