Come back to your private resort after enjoying a family day at nearby Legoland, the beach, or the zoo.
Sip a cocktail from the Wonka bar, an elevator converted into a pool bar, while relaxing in the huge pool while enjoying views of the hills. Follow up your dip in the pool with s'mores by the outdoor fire pit.
The huge yard is an oasis for all, including kids. Adults can relax and unwind and the kids can play for hours.

The space
Stylish eclectic single story 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house with double sided fireplace, open concept living and huge windows. The modern white kitchen and dining areas feature exposed beams and a cozy breakfast nook. A spacious living area has great views out to the pool while the nearby sitting and work area have views into the private fenced front courtyard.
Two bedrooms, both with queen beds, are on one side of the home with a bathroom in between them. The large master bedroom with a Cal King bed is adjacent to the kitchen and very private. The final bedroom with twin bunk beds is at the end of the hallway, away from other bedrooms and the central portion of the house, making it very quiet and peaceful, especially for sleeping children.
With views from all angles and plenty of space for everyone, this resort home is the perfect home away from home.
Notes:
The pool is not heated but is warm throughout the summer. The spa can be heated anytime year round within 20-30 minutes.
We welcome most pets but ask that they be watched and cleaned up after so they don’t damage the home or yard.
No smoking or vaping of any kind allowed in the home or in the backyard or courtyard where smoke could enter the home.
Guest access
A unique passcode will be sent prior to checkin that will unlock the keypad on the front door.

Alta Vista Hideaway is a short walk away from Brengle Terrance Park which features a playground, garden, frisbee golf course and the incredible Moonlight Amphitheater. During summer nights, you can hear the lovely faint sounds of performances and events. The sounds make the hills of Vista come alive.

The home and yard was stunning! Every detail was thoughtfully designed in the decor and layout. Plenty of seating areas and room for the 7 of us. We opted not to heat the pool for our stay in February, but the hot tub got very hot and the pool was cold but refreshing. The yard was absolutely private, save for the neighbour's dogs who were very curious and politely peeking through the fence. Neighbourhood was quiet, Brengle park was gorgeous and a 14 minute walk. This was a great central location to visit San Diego, Oceanside, Carlsbad, etc. Host was very quick to respond and was excellent to communicate with before and during our stay.

Very comfortable place. Attractive gardens surrounding the house. Very enjoyable pool. Great place for 8 guests to stay comfortably. And convenient to San Diego and would be convenient to various attractions such as Safari, Zoo and Legoland for younger children. Very generous to allow dogs, and our dog enjoyed staying there too! --especially being able to play outside.We hope to stay there again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is decorated so wonderfully! The property is large with a beautiful pool and eclectic fun elevator bar in the backyard which adds a cool vibe. Communication with Kendra was super easy. We had one little issue and it was solved immediately. She was very easy to get a hold of. The check-in process was super easy. It was self check-in and we entered a code into a keypad to get in. The kitchen is a true gourmet kitchen with every thing you need to cool full meals. We had plenty of space to spread out. The rooms are good size. If we had young children, which we do not anymore, the back bedroom with the bunkbeds would’ve been a huge hit. The home is also well stocked with a lot of games and toys for young children. There was even a cabinet full of bath toys. We enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. The yard is fully fenced, which was helpful as we had our dogs with us. The front yard is also fenced off so it is very easy to bring your furry ones with you. We did not use the pool, but I am guessing this will be a huge bonus for large families. It’s a beautiful brand new pool. It’s a very quiet neighborhood at night. We did enjoy walking into Vista. It’s a walk straight uphill on the way back, but it was good for us! There are sidewalks so you have to walk on the street. I would recommend a car if you have young children. But, if you don’t mind a hill, it is a very easy walk there and back with a lot of restaurants to choose from. Book it!
