Appartement Chic and Cosy-Canal Saint Martin

- the location was great for accessing the metro and plenty of shops nearby, including right next door. We got all of our daily goods and wine from there. - it felt very secure with the double access system and unique access code - there were lots of extras thrown in: dishwasher tabs, loo roll, paper towels, toiletries etc., as well as excellent cutlery and crockery and wine glasses - the space was well utilised and we were very comfortable downstairs when hanging out as a family - wifi was excellent for my work calls and downloading tv shows - the bed was super comfy and i did not want to get out - the inside was very dark which was great for much-needed sleep, although maybe a tad too dark with lights low - the heating system was good - the shower was powerful and hot although if 3-4 people showered the water lost some warmth - the hosts / managers were super fast to reply to all of our queries and had a great attitude We will be returning to stay next time we are in Paris, it was just what we needed in between getting the eurostar from gare du nord. Merci!

- like most French apartments, there was not much room above my head in bed but this was OK - some people have commented on the area; we found it to be OK and the locals were lovely. The homeless area near the Stalingrad Metro may look scary at first but there really is no need to be. We felt at ease walking both in the day, and late at night
