The complimentary breakfast is pretty decent, the room is cozy and the location is close to a gas station and shops.
When I arrived there was a weird smell in the room, similar to humidity. The bath didn't properly work.

The staff at the desk were good - but there was also an electronic presence device that handled some things and when I tried to use it, the ambient noise of the room was too loud for mic to pick up my voice etc. I’d rather just speak to a human in person.

1. Remote check in kiosk (like a call center in India on video). Not a good touch though it did work fine.
2. I stay here all the time. Location is at a busy intersection which doesn’t bother me though. The trade off for a very convenient place.

I appreciate the friendly (on-site) staff. The beds are very comfortable and luxurious, and rooms are clean and well-stocked with amenities.
I don't like the new check in procedure with a video screen and a cs agent in India. It was an adjustment when the new owners switched to this method of customer service and the cs agents were in Columbia, BUT the people in Columbia proved to be sharp and considerate, friendly and professional. The people in India don't seem to understand simple requests, nor do they care. Guests want a personal interaction with someone who appreciates their business, and is able to accommodate requests. This needs to be improved.

A kind receptionist promptly re-located my room when I complained about the smell of smoke in the one I was assigned. The complimentary breakfast offered is exceptional.
Check in is completed remotely by a video prompter which is awkward and inefficient. The place does not feel completely safe due to the location.

Convenient for our need for an overnight stay after being at Point Reyes for the day.
We really didn't appreciate having to interact with a person on a video screen to check in. It was a very impersonable way to start and didn't make us feel any allegience to the property other than a night's sleep and quick exit in the morning. Not in real walking distance from downtown.

They did not offer any complementary water other than the initial small water bottles in the room. Last year a water refill station was available in the reception area. This was removed due to new ownership.
The supposed to be ice water at breakfast was hot. Breakfast demand was larger to what was offered and had to wait for refills.

We tried several times to call the front desk before arriving but no one answered the phone. When we finally arrived at 2:00pm we realized why. There is no in-person human manning the front desk. There’s just a large monitor with a person you can speak to but that person is far away and can only answer some basic questions but nothing else. We wanted to store our luggage until our room was ready, but obviously they couldn’t help with that since they weren’t actually at the hotel. When we came back at 9pm to check in, again no one was at the front desk. Our keys were issued through a machine and it took a very long time to check in using the computer. In the morning, same thing. I think there’s a very small time window when there’s actually someone physically available at the front desk, but we never saw it.

We had booked this reservation not realizing he was a pet hotel we did not have pets because of that we couldn't change the reservation so we had to take a pet room it smelt like pee it was so bad we opened the windows in the morning we all had terrible headaches I am going to file a complaint with the county health department this room should never be rented out and tell it is thoroughly cleaned

We will never stay at a Best Western again. First of all no staff to check in you are to use a kiosk that doesn't work. We were tired and then key doesn't work then return and were directed to use kiosk again and put in all information. A staff member shows up and makes new key. Up your rate to include staff good bye Best Western. Just discovered how important to be greeted by helpful person.

Checking in and out with the kiosk and knowing a person wasn’t there to help when electricity was out 3 1/2 hours. I woke up gasping for air due to Cpap not having electricity.

I didn't like much.
We were greeted by a kyosk. I'm not sure if the person was real or AI. The parking was very full and had to park far from the room. We showed up for breakfast at 7:30 (started at 6:30) and items weren't restocked such as waffle batter, pastries, and eggs. They took a $150 deposit, and at check out I asked for a receipt. The kyosk "person" wouldn't print one and said they would email me one. It's been 3 days and no receipt....

Impersonal video, check in. Urine and tissue in the toilet upon arrival to the room. Television stopped working halfway through our stay with no maintenance available. Air conditioning unit., Once turned on, would not turn off. And it leaked water inside the room onto the carpet.

Staff was all excellent. Breakfast Staff very excellent. Motel shows it's age, but it's basically what you expect.
Place is a bit aged. Upholstery and carpeting coulduse a steam cleaning.
