The Neighbourhood
Cortes is a hub of art and literary culture. One of the most privileged neighbourhoods in central Madrid. The apartment is fantastically situated less than five minutes from Cibeles Square. In the heart of a part of Madrid where the most prestigious buildings from the 1920s are located (Bank of Spain, Circle of Fine Arts…). In the Barrio de las Letras, Huertas Street is dotted with references to former residents, such as Cervantes and Lope de Vega, whose house is now a museum. Nearby, the tree-lined Prado promenade leads to the famous Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. There are tapas bars with crowded terraces in Santa Ana Square.

Luxury, comfort, design and equipment are adjectives that perfectly define this apartment with two independent bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one of them en suite, which will undoubtedly meet the requirements of any guest looking for an ideal space to stay and feel comfortable. When it comes to decoration, no detail has been spared, with the intention of offering quality, design and style to all guests.
The apartment features a spacious living room with a comfortable double sofa bed, providing capacity for 6 people. The independent kitchen is of great design and is fantastically equipped with everything necessary: washing machine, induction hob, microwave, and any small appliance that might be needed.
With a surface area of 88 square metres, this fabulous apartment has a very good layout. The first bedroom is spacious, equipped with a large built-in wardrobe and a wonderful quality double bed, essential for a good rest. The apartment has a second bedroom with two single beds.
The cot is subject to availability. Please notify us with a maximum of 5 days' notice.
Air conditioning in all rooms of the apartment.
The change from heating to air conditioning in the apartment boiler will be carried out at the end of May, and in turn, the change from air conditioning to heating will be carried out in November in accordance with the protocols established by the community.
Notice: there is active construction work in the adjoining building and it could affect the communal interior courtyard.
Points to note:
IMPORTANT: This apartment is only offered for seasonal lettings, in accordance with article 3 of the Urban Lettings Act (LAU). Customers will sign a seasonal letting contract upon arrival.
Online check-in is mandatory in accordance with current regulations and must be carried out through the MitHouse app/webapp. During this process, the MRZ band of each guest's identity document will be read to extract the data required by the authorities. It will be essential to have a mobile device and internet on the telephone to access the apartment.
We inform you that, due to works being carried out by the Town Council on Madrazo Street, it remains closed to traffic. Likewise, construction work is being carried out on a building in the vicinity of the accommodation, so there could be some noise resulting from such work.
The works will remain active until further notice. We greatly appreciate your understanding and regret any inconvenience that these circumstances may cause.
For stays of more than 28 days, a deposit of €1,000 will be requested, refundable at the end of the stay if no damage is caused to the accommodation.
To be respected: In order to ensure good coexistence and respect for neighbours and residents, this apartment may be equipped with a 24-hour noise monitoring system. Guests are obliged to comply with the rest hours established at all times.
Please contact our team 48 hours before your arrival and carefully follow the instructions made available to you at all times. Mit House is not responsible for any delay in accessing the apartment due to failure to complete this prior process.

This apartment is set up perfectly. After three weeks walking the El Camino and making our way to Madrid, this apartment had the best setup of all the 20+ places we stayed. While the check in process is really wonky (you book thru VRBO, but then have to download a specific app for the property, then you have to pay via an email authorization) the place is worth it. Super super clean, fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils you’d need. Two showers, two beds, really quiet, very comfortable. I’d stay here for longer if we could.
