Central to all touring heading North to the Cape, South to the Bay Of Islands or hearing West over to the Hokianga.
After a day on the beach or a sightseeing, a great place to chill and wait to hear the kiwi in the bordering bush at night.
Situated on the main road so easy to find, and just a 2 min walk to the beach,
10 mins (max) to the village of Mangonui which offers eateries and boutique shops..
5 mins (tops) to Coopers Beach, 4 Square, Chemist, Butchers etc.
Cable Bay will be a place you will want to come back to.

The house is very central for travellers going to cape Reinga. It has a swimming area 7 mins walk down the road. Coffee cafe same area.You can hear the road noise in the front bedroom but it wasn't too much of anegative weekend
