It is a great location, well managed and clean. The views are amazing but it comes with a caveat of being pretty loud during to traffic on Carlsbad Blvd most of the day and into the early evening. Overall it worked great for our family.

My family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at this house. We had four 80-year olds, three in our 50s and a teenager and everyone loved the spot. There was more than ample room for all of us to have the space and privacy we needed. The kitchen was well-appointed with a large island, two dishwashers and all the cooking utensils we needed, save for maybe a few spices.
The location was great, right across the street from the beach and a couple miles south of the main part of Carlsbad. We had the misfortune of staying there during a period of seaweed accumulation at the beach across the street, which made the area smell bad and prevented us from using that beach, but there were plenty of other options very close by. I talked to many local surfers that said the seaweed issue happens once a year, but that otherwise the area was among the best surfing spots in the immediate area.
The only negative aspects of the stay were that the floors in the house were a little dirty. They didn't look dirty but did turn our feet black. Also, parking was a little bit tricky. But I wouldn't let either of these issues prevent us from staying again.. We loved it here!
