About this villa rental
The Nuova Villa Ulivo (NVU) property is located in Puglia in an enchanting position, between the municipalities of Carovigno and San Vito dei Normanni. A few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea.
NVU is a typical villa in the Salento landscape and has been recently renovated with typical local materials.
NVU is composed of a living room with fireplace, Apple TV and stereo system which overlooks the splendid covered veranda overlooking the 40 m2 salt swimming pool and the 9,500 meter private field, made up of a large lawn and with the presence of 130 olive and almond trees, fig trees, capers, as well as other cactus vegetation, all completely fenced.
There is a kitchen with induction hob, large fridge, breakfast corner and refrigerated wine cellar.
Separated from the center of the house there are four double bedrooms with double beds (with the possibility of single beds) and three bathrooms with shower, for a total of 8 people. It is possible to add a cot for a child.
Outside there is a fixed barbecue, a long table, a furnished area at the end of the pool for dining separate from the villa, an outdoor shower and a brazier.
You can access the roof with a ladder from where you can see the sea and the countryside around and watch the sunset.
Privacy is guaranteed by an external security service and the alarm system.
Fundamental is the presence within a few kilometers of a person who guarantees the perfect functioning of the NVU, independently cleans and maintains the pool on a bi-weekly basis and is available to resolve any type of inconvenience that may arise. The person speaks fluent Italian, English and German.
NVU is immersed in a quiet green area of the countryside, but in an absolutely strategic position to reach the following destinations:
- Brindisi Airport is only 40 km away and in about 20 minutes by car you can reach NVU.
- NVU via an exclusive entrance, directly overlooks state road no. Sp32
- Supermarkets and shops can be reached within a few minutes by car
- The Adriatic Sea is located a few kilometers from NVU. The closest beach is the renowned Torre Guaceto beach, a WWF oasis.
- A few minutes away is the Municipality of Carovigno, famous for its typical cuisine restaurants, shops, pastry shops; shortly after, Ostuni, the pearl of Alto Salento, can be reached.
- A few kilometers to the north is the Itria Valley, with its enchanting villages of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Martina Franca.
- Also a few kilometers away is the E35 state road along the sea which quickly leads to enchanting places and beaches; towards the north we encounter Specchiolla, Marina di Ostuni, Torre Canne, Savelletri, Egnazia, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Bari. Towards the south the free beaches around Brindisi.
- The art cities of Lecce, Galatina and Otranto are also easily reachable.
- In 45 minutes you can reach the Ionian coast, with the famous seaside resorts Porto Cesareo, Torre Lapillo, Gallipoli, Bacino Grande, Ugento, Pescoluse.

The North/South alignment of the villa provided a welcome area of shade on the patio which remained all day. The seating on the patio was very comfortable enabling a very restful and tranquil view across the pool area and down through the olive trees to the end of the property. The kitchen was well equipped if you wished to dine in, with a large fridge/freezer, although the storage for any dry goods (cereal packets/bread for example) was very limited. The large walk-in shower in the ensuite of bedroom 1 was excellent and the king-sized bed very comfortable. The only minor complaint regarding this room was the fact that the owner had reserved (locked) the large drawers in the chest of draws for their own use, leaving only three small drawers for use. The description of the double bed in bedroom 2 was a little misleading in that it was a double bed base, with two single mattresses placed together. Unfortunately, the mattresses did not stay together when someone tried to sleep on it. Bedroom 3 had a comfortable double bed with its ideally situated bathroom just outside its door. Despite the few issues described above , we had a very pleasant and relaxing holiday in this property.
