Great apartment, perfect location and excellent hosts!

Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Good location close to the town centre but quiet at night. Medi and his family were very welcoming and helpful. We were catching a bus in the afternoon but wanted to go to the castle before, so it was great to be able to leave our luggage after check out.

Perhaps a doorbell at the gate would be helpful so guests can ring it upon arrival?

Staying at Northgate Villa was a great experience and we recommend the place and the host wholeheartedly.

Location close to one of the main streets of Shkodra, a minute's walk from many cafes, breakfast places and shops. At the same time, close to everything that is necessary, important and interesting in the city and quiet and comfortable enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The apartment has absolutely everything you could possibly need and even more, and the host is happy to help you with anything you might need. One of the best host we have ever met around the world. Medi made our stay not only in Shkodra but also our entire holiday in Albania more enjoyable by sharing his experience of visiting the country as a resident, giving us many great tips and sharing with us places worth visiting that we had never heard of before. We were really honored to be Medi’s guests.

The only thing that could make life in the apartment even easier would be an insect net on the bathroom window same as there already existed in the badroom.

Hospitality at its finest

The greatest advantage of this accommodation is without a doubt the host, Medi. I had already read many positive reviews about him on Booking, but honestly, I didn’t expect him to be this incredibly kind. During my travels, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone so helpful, attentive, and friendly. Medi is always ready to advise you and help with anything you need. Another big plus is the very well-designed website of the accommodation, where you can find plenty of tips for cafés, restaurants, and interesting places to visit. We tried several of them ourselves, and all were excellent. The accommodation itself is absolutely fine and met all our expectations. Just like the city of Shkodër pleasantly surprised us, the host impressed us even more with his kindness and care.

Mehdi was a star vendor, great property, wonderful stay.

Wonderful stay in Mehdi’s apartment. It was incredibly clean and well located, the real standout being Mehdi and all he did to make us feel to cared for and looked after. He was super friendly, his property has a good website with good recommendations, and he was on hand to help us when we needed. Would recommend anyone to stay here, very reasonable price too.

The perfect nest in a city with a super vibe!

Location is perfect. Walking distance to the city centre and still in a very calm neighborhood. Medi, our host, was super attentive and dedicated. And the city has a fantastic vibe. We loved it!

You must reserve your parking place in advance as places are very limited. We didn’t know and the area is not particularly parking friendly. We were still lucky with Medi’s support but it’s important that you know it in advance in case you go by car.

Great stay, amazing host!

A great place to stay in Shkodër. Medi is the best host - very friendly and responsive, before and during our stay. He even told us to message if we had any questions during our stay at other places in Albania. A very nice guy :) The room was nice and very clean, with a very comfy bed. Great location, less than 5mins to the main area with lots of bars ad restaurants. Being able to park our car at the property was very handy too. Thank you, Medi!

Medi was an absolutely lovely host! He was very friendly and helpful and also gave us lots of local recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable and even had a mini fridge which was handy. It was also really close to the town centre with restaurants/shops and there was a safe space to park our car behind the gate.

Worth of money for 1 night

The staff was kind and we had private parking. Rooms were equipped with air-conditioning and hot water. The apartment was clean and fully equipped.

Although we had booked an apartment for the 1st night, we had to sleep in a room with a toilet included. That was unprofessional from their side. The parking was tight, and the apartment was located in a narrow street and overcrowded area. Moreover, it was difficult to find it via Google maps. We really missed a sofa in the living room.

Amazing host

The host, Medi was amazing. He helped us to organise our trip into the national parks, also carried about our luggage until we were hiking for days in the mountain. He was waiting us however our flight was delayed and we arrived to the villa pretty late. He also woke up in the early morning to help us to get to the bus to the mountain. We are very grateful to him.

Wow, what a great location

We can highly recommend this location. The host is very friendly and hospitable, helps you in every situation, is reachable every time and speaks really good english. The apartment is as described, new very comfortable beds, the kitchen contents everything you need. Many shops (as bakery, supermarket, fruit market, cafes, restaurants, etc) in walking distance. Very quiet neighbourhood. If we are coming back to Shkoder one day we would definitely book this apartment again.

Vlasnik je preljubazan i sve detaljno objasni, perfektno govori engleski jezik i lako se sporazujeti sa njim. Što se tiče apartmana kada udjete u zgradu tako lijepo miriše a čisto je kao u apoteci. Apartman je toliko čist da je to nešto što do sada nijesmo vidjeli. Komforan, udoban, na mirnom mjestu gdje nema buke a bukvalno par metara od centra. Sve pohvale i toplo ga preporučujemo svima i zasluženo treba da ima 10 . Hvala puno i doći ćemo opet ❤️

Super Gastgeber bei toller Unterkunft

Lage: ruhig und doch alles zu Fuß erreichbar Medi ist ein sehr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er spricht perfektes Englisch, ist gefühlt quasi rund um die Uhr erreichbar und hatte tolle Infos und Empfehlungen für uns parat. Das Zimmer/Apartment war zudem wirklich groß. Die Betten empfanden wir als angenehm. Der Parkplatz ist versperrbar. Die Küche haben wir aus Zeitgründen zwar nicht genutzt, jedoch ist hier grundsätzlich alles nötige vorhanden.
