Our home in Ireland!

Our home in Ireland! A welcoming, clean house, attentive to guests' needs. It was a pleasure to return in the evenings, cook and watch TV or read a book in the living room. The house is located on the main road, just before the village. A safe sidewalk takes you to the center in just a few minutes, and in the other direction, to a well-stocked supermarket. A washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher are available. Killybegs isn't a town with many attractions, but we found it charming and very authentic, equipped with everything you need, and a good starting point for exploring Donegal.

Ideal location for exploring South Donegal

Ideal location for exploring South Donegal. View of the harbour across the road. On the main road into Killybegs but very quiet at night so it's not an issue. Supervalue a few mins walk in one direction, the beautiful fishing port and town of Killybegs a short walk in the other direction (about 10mins). The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. A thoughtful welcome pack of milk, butter, bread, and a few snacks were left for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!

Very clean, comfortable home within walking distance of the city center and marina. We had some questions regarding some of the home's mechanicals and eventually met owner, Rory, who was very helpful in answering our questions. Perhaps a FAQ booklet explaining the home's mechanicals/electronics would be helpful to guests.

The home was very clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was excellent and within walking distance to Killybegs. We were able to travel the countryside and see the cliffs nearby as well as beautiful waterfalls, beaches and castles.

We loved our stay at Realt na Mara, at house was beautiful, spotless and so comfortable. Location is perfect, walking distance from shop and town. We will definitely be back to stay again.

House was very clean and tidy. And so easyily accessible.

Internet is so poor. Notified the owner first day. Speed is very slow that no smart tv was able to connect with wifi so useless.

I was able to reconnect with family I had never met in a space that was extremely comfortable and made me feel at home.

It was so quiet with a beautiful view of the bay. It felt like a traditional Irish Cottage experience.

A Wee Gem

We arrived early and the house was ready for us. Having stayed in many houses throughout the country this one has by far been the best. It was tastefully decorated, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The house was equipped with absolutely everything we needed even down to tea bags and salt & pepper. We couldn't fault the property. I dealt with two staff members and both were friendly and efficient. There are lovely views from the 3 bedrooms. It really was like home away from home. The house is located a few minutes from Killybegs town. We walked in and out most of the time the rest of the time we drove around.

The only thing, and it's a small complaint is how warm the house is. We were afraid to tamper with the thermostat though. Haha.
