Room is so tinny and i booked a big room they asssign me a smaller room there are also mistakes from Agoda side

Review of a Hotel in Saigon This hotel is an excellent choice, especially for Western tourists. Key highlights: • Great location – close to main attractions, restaurants, and public transport. • Clean and comfortable – rooms are well-maintained and spotless. • Kitchen with a stove – perfect for those who prefer cooking or want to save on dining out. • Good interior design – modern yet cozy, with a touch of local charm. • Affordable price – excellent value for the quality offered. • Home-like atmosphere – friendly staff and a welcoming vibe.

Unfortunately this is yet another SCAM of a hotel chain. Mersey Central Saigon Apart'Hotel accepted my reservation (Bait) based on fake photos and description, took my money via agoda.com, then presented me with a room that was smaller, with fewer amenities, with a slight stench of stale air, no balcony, etc., etc. (Switch) Reading other reviews here, you'll see that they subscribe to rather dubious business practices at Mersey Central Saigon Apart'Hotel; Bait and Switch is just one tactic used by this company to scam tourists out of money. Another tactic is to just lie right to your face. They seem not to think twice about posting fake room photos with descriptions on ***, ***, Agoda.com, etc. Then, the absurdity of it all became front and center.... straight from the manager's mouth... "It was ***'s fault"... "I don't even know why agoda.com has our hotel on there website, we didn't put it on there." I kid you not, the manager said that! ha! He was rather well spoken. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but, he understood when I said "stop gaslighting me!"... that's not all I said. Not a proud moment, I was pissed. In the end, I refused to accept the room because it was not the room in the pictures and description. They acted as if nothing like this had ever happened before, 1st lie. (laughable). To add insult to injury, they had no solutions at all... Except, they offered to have my laundry done LOL! for free. That was it. So, $2 worth of "sorry". Then they claimed the room they showed me cost the same per-night as the nicer Queen Deluxe Studio, 2nd lie... laughable. I suggested they comp me one night in the smaller, cheaper room since it was obvious that I paid extra for a deluxe studio. I was denied right away. "***" at the front desk is one of the most dishonest hotel staff I've had the unfortunate opportunity to cross paths with. The manager in the end admitted to me that the owner (who's in Ha Noi apparently) is know for "doing this kind of thing". He even called his boss an a$$h@le LOL! This was the first and only moment of honesty I got from these sorry fools. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I've dealt with scamming hotels in Saigon. Bait and switch is common practice. It's too bad when you arrive at a hotel that seems legitimate only to find out that they too, are trying to scam you. Ha Noi, Da Nang, Phu Quok; you'll find this everywhere. The gaslighting, obfuscations, deception, and dishonesty seem as simple as breathing for these people. But, they play checkers... not chess. And they don't know it. LOL! Hang in there! You'll find a gem. Perhaps not in District 1... but you will. Count yourself luck when that happens! Happy Travels
