Handcrafted, secluded, and surrounded by timber, this log cabin sits on 1.5 private acres with the Fremont-Winema National Forest as your backyard, giving you thousands of acres to explore right off the porch. The exposed beams and ridgepole overhead set the tone the moment you walk in: this is a real cabin, not a cabin-themed rental.
Spend your mornings with coffee on the covered porch and your afternoons at the Sprague River, an easy half-mile walk away, for swimming and fishing. No traffic, no neighbors, no noise. Just trees.
Disconnect from the world—or stay connected. It's your choice. Whether you're looking for a digital detox, streaming a favorite movie, or keeping in touch with family and work, our newly installed Starlink internet gives you the flexibility to do both. Cell service is limited, but compatible phones can make calls over Wi-Fi.

This cabin runs on solar power with battery backup, plus an automatic propane-powered backup generator for low-sun stretches. Most weeks during the summer, guests never hear the generator run at all. It may run more during the fall and winter months because the sun is lower in the sky. When it does run, it starts automatically and shuts off after about 30 minutes.

We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property was absolutely immaculate—everything was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described.Our kids had an absolute blast! They spent hours playing Frisbee golf, swinging on the swings, relaxing in the hammocks, and just enjoying all the outdoor space. It was the perfect place for our family to unwind and make great memories.The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the area while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. We truly appreciated all the little details that made our stay so enjoyable.We can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re looking for a clean, beautiful, family-friendly place with wonderful hosts, this is it. We’d gladly stay here again. Thank you for helping make our trip so memorable!
