About this cottage rental

Lie in bed and look straight out to the sea at Abercastle Bay. This cosy stone holiday cottage has sea views from all rooms and nestles on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in the picturesque fishing village of Abercastle.Renovated throughout to provide quality accommodation, the useful porch leads through to the open-plan living space with under floor heating, has a newly fitted kitchen and comfortable seating to relax, French doors open to small patio, a delightful spot to the side of the cottage where you can sit and relax with a coffee or a glass of wine on a summer’s evening, soaking up the sea views, the sunsets are fantastic and can be enjoyed also from the sitting room or spend your evenings star gazing, the dark skies will amaze. Stairs from the sitting room lead up to the bedrooms, both with views over the beach and out to sea and also the new shower room. Enjoy watching the fisherman land their catch, while the rock pools on Abercastle's shingle beach will entertain families for hours, pet owners will love the easy access to the beach to walk all year round.  Wild and bird life enthusiasts will be mesmerised by the seabirds in Abercastle Bay, or you might even catch sight of a visiting seal or head further afield to taking a boat trip to Skomer, Skokholm and Ramsey islands, which are very accessible, (don't forget your binoculars). The sheltered inlet is perfect for kayakers and for the more adventurous, try your hand at Coasteering. Keen walkers can access the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Coastal Path from Ty Olwen's front door or use the local Strumble Shuttle bus to access other nearby coastal villages and walk along the Coast Path back to your cottage. Abermawr and Aberbach are well worth a visit or Aberfelin below the village of Trefin, only 2 miles away with its local pub, The Ship Inn and cafe/gallery. In the neighbouring village of Mathry is a good pub serving food, as well as tea room to try. A little further away lies Porthgain with its popular Sloop Inn and art galleries to explore. The dark sand and shingle beach at Abereiddy and the famous Blue Lagoon should not be missed. The tiny City of St Davids with its majestic Cathedral and Bishops Palace is within easy reach, and offers a range of facilities to wander and the glorious sandy Whitesands Beach popular with surfers and families lies on its outskirts.  Ty Olwen is a wonderful holiday cottage in a great location for exploring the St Davids Peninsula and the many delights of North Pembrokeshire.
