Makanui 522 - Mountain Views

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. It had a bedroom on the main floor with 2 beds and the primary bedroom was upstairs, plus there was a bathroom on each floor. It was very comfortable for us. The rooms have wall a/c units which kept the rooms cool at night. Central air would have been nice, but it was fine if we just opened the doors when we were there. It was also about a half mile walk to the beach and town which made it very convenient. The place also had everything: washer/dryer, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. I was very happy with our accommodation and would stay there again.

No central air. Some of the walls needed to be repainted, but overall I have very little to complain about. The pool was convenient but pretty small and cold and we didn't really use it, but that was fine.

The condo was very spacious, for 3 travelers (one couple + 1 solo), very agreeable to have two separate bathrooms and sleep on two different floors. The views from the windows and terrace were amazing, and location in Poipu ideal, with easy access by feet to different beaches. It was very rainy when we were there so we didn't enjoy the pool but we wished we could stay longer, and if we come back to Kauai we'll definitely book the same place! The kitchen was big and well equipped, we cooked a lot of meals at home, which is a big budget saver for this type of trip. The management team is really helpful and responsive, we received a full guide we recommendations of where to shop, things to do in Kauai, etc. prior to our stay.

It would be great to find cooking basics in the kitchen: salt, pepper, oil... We had to buy everything and leave it at the end of our stay, I hope that it can be used by future guests.
