The swimming pool

The smells of the building is not represent the smells of a hotel if you know what i mean. We also had a problem with the phone room so we cannot contact room service or receptionist.

Wow. Just wow. High up in the Genting Highlands, this hotel has an amazing location and view. The Hard Rock Cafe is on floor 50, with a commanding view, an indoor swimming pool that (apparently) you can swim and eat and listen to live music all at the same time. The bed in our room was feather-soft, and the view (again, the view) was spectacular.

The only things I can mention: are it’s a long tortuous, winding hour or more to get there from KL. There were still some aspects of the hotel that looked like they were still being worked on; we didn’t get to go to check out the rooftop or any of the advertised “sky views”. And we did notice in the morning that we could hear doors being slammed along our floor, so the sound isolation wasn’t that great.

The hotel surroundings had an unpleasant odor, likely due to a nearby treatment plant, which made the overall environment less enjoyable. The cleanliness of the hotel was also disappointing. There was visible black mold on the shelf around the shower room where the toiletries were placed, and the room had a persistent damp smell throughout our stay. Overall, the hotel did not meet the standards expected of a 5-star property. In terms of room facilities, maintenance, and cleanliness, it was more comparable to an average 3-star hotel. Given the price and rating, the experience was far below expectations.
