Very spacious bunk rooms and common room on the second floor.
Waste bins are clearly defined.
Staff is patient.
Beds are pretty comfortable and many toilets.
Many different types of people with more people saying “hi” and perhaps easier to strike conversations

The location was good for us, 5 min walk to a tram stop and walking distances to parks and restaurants. Our room had a kitchenette in it with dishes which was great.

The best thing about this property is its convenient location. There is a bus stop just a 100-meter walk from the hostel, with direct connections to the city center. Right next door is a Kiwi supermarket, making it very easy to buy groceries and other essentials.
The apartment was a decent size and included the basic utensils needed for cooking. One thing to be aware of in Norway is that many electric stoves are fitted with a safety sensor that detects whether someone is present while cooking. If it doesn't detect anyone nearby, it automatically cuts power to the stove. This happened during our stay as well. If it does, you can easily restore power by resetting the circuit breaker (MCB) in the apartment's electrical panel.
There are a couple of areas that could be improved. The refrigerator had not been cleaned properly and still contained leftover food from previous guests. In addition, the kitchen could benefit from a few more cooking utensils, as the current selection is quite minimal.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hostel, including for families. As a bonus, the rooftop offers a beautiful view of the city, especially in the evening.

I couldn't even find the hairdryer. It was on the list. They took the lights around the bed too.
