My girlfriend and I booked 4 nights originally, however we decided to depart after 2 nights without a refund. The owner (Jean) was somewhat understanding and provided free transportation to and from the location. The villas are visually appealing for photos such as Instagram or other social media. The food was good but on the last day I had heavy diarrhoea. Free snorkelling gear is provided, however we didn’t use it.

The location is extremely remote and the lack of natural beauty makes it questionable to make the long journey here. It is literally a villa on the coastline in a field. The lack of AC was known before arriving, however the lack of insect screens or a suitable mosquito net means the villas is basically “open”. The linen cloth which is supposed to act as a mosquito net around the bed prevents any breeze from the open windows making the nights extremely hot. The very thin curtains from the window might look nice but have no function. They don’t block out sunlight and don’t prevent mosquitos or other insects from entering. The wifi was at times patchy which is to be expected with starlink. The beach wasn’t nice at all unfortunately. Overall this wasn’t a sad experience for us as we hate to leave a bad review especially if it can negatively impact the local population, however after travelling halfway across the planet and with limited annual leave we expected something more. We would have been happy with no AC and the remoteness if there was some sort of reward for this.
