Kanava Cave Winery Villa is truly a hidden gem that offers a unique vibe unlike any other place in the world. After visiting, I found myself wanting to keep it a secret, sharing it only with a select few. Stepping into the villa feels like entering another world—one where time seems to stand still. Every moment spent here is a treasure.
Imagine being in the midst of a museum, designed with every comfort for living, meticulously crafted down to the smallest details. There’s nothing superfluous here; it’s the pinnacle of design and execution. I have immense respect for Yiannis the owner, who has poured so much love and effort into creating this unique retreat.
Yiannis incredibly welcoming, meeting us in the morning and surprising us with his level of hospitality. He took us on a brief tour, explaining the villa's history as it was transformed from a winery. He ensured we lacked for nothing during our stay, stocking the fridge with fresh fruits, juices, and snacks, along with plenty of water and sweets. This kind of generosity is truly unparalleled.
The villa is equipped with top-notch amenities, including a lovely courtyard with a dining table. The pool with a jacuzzi and a rooftop relaxation area. The tranquility surrounding the villa makes it hard to want to leave. As I mentioned, it possesses a special atmosphere that is hard to describe.
I must also mention our lovely neighbor, Paraskevi, who surprised us by bringing breakfast one morning that was far better than restauran

This is second time staying at the amazing KANAVA villa - this place is truly such an amazing place for relaxation, private time, and a grounded luxurious space, in a humble atmosphere. I visited KANAVA in Santorini for the first time last year, and already knew back then that I would have to come back. I am so thrilled to still say this is one of my absolute favorite destinations and places to stay, especially in Greece! Yiannis (the owner) is truly such a wonderful and warm hearted person, always so kind to inform about Santorini, history, life, and is always generous and very helpful - truly a one of a kind and amazing person! Big thanks for the absolute comfortable stay in some of the most beautiful and aesthetic villas - a perfect place for a solo-, couple-, or group trip. Perfect for the ‘local’ feeling without all the “busy” tourism. Also an amazing mention is Mrs. Paraskevi who lives next door - she truly is an amazing lady, a “Santorinian jewelry”. Absolutely recommend a stay in KANAVA in Santorini - I will come back, that’s for sure :)
