In the small town of Groß Holum, right next to the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel in the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” you, our dear guests, will find our “Haus Sand am Meer” with two vacation apartments.
Groß Holum is a district of Neuharlingersiel on the North Sea and is thus located on the edge of the unique naturalwonder known as the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2009.
From “Haus Sand am Meer” in Groß Holum, you can easily cycle to Neuharlingersiel and the beach.
The two “Haus Sand am Meer” vacation apartments are tastefully designed and furnished in a friendly, modern, and comfortable style. The vacation apartments measure approximately 52 and 50 square meters, making them ideal for a wonderful North Sea vacation for 2 to 4 or 2 to 3 people, respectively.
What else is there to say? For example, here in Groß Holum you’ll find the “Bauernstuben,” a well-known restaurant serving delicious East Frisian cuisine. The “Bauernstuben” is within walking distance of our “Haus Sand am Meer.”
It’s seven kilometers to the charming shopping district in the historic “Bear Town” of Esens, and five kilometers to Werdum—where you’ll find the Küstenbrauerei brewery and the petting zoo, which is especially popular with the little ones. It’s also just eight kilometers to the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel. There you’ll find a beach, the beach entrance with the covered play area “Bennis Abenteuerland,” and many other attractions, including the “Nordseetherme Bensersiel” water park, a seawater outdoor pool, and numerous other leisure and recreational options.
Closest of all, however, is the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel, a 300-year-old fishing village with an active fleet of crab fishing boats. In the beautiful historic fishing harbor, East Frisian fishing is still actively practiced today by many shrimp boats.
There’s a wide range of tourist attractions for your vacation: the beach with the fantastic “Platschi” water play area, the new, modern “BadeWerk” spa and wellness center with a seawater indoor pool and sauna facilities, as well as the Kurhaus, Kursaal, an information center with the “Leuchttürmchen” children’s playhouse, the Sielhof as the “Haus des Gastes,” green spaces, events, a lovingly maintained historic harbor, and many other attractions.
By the way, Neuharlingersiel is located right in the middle of the East Frisian North Sea coast, across from the island of Spiekeroog on the mainland.
