Relax with the whole family, your friends or on a romantic getaway at this peaceful home to stay in the Northern Woods of Door County, nestled between the villages of Sister Bay & Ellison Bay, one street off of the Lake & just moments from the bluffs & the beach! Walk, bike or drive from your home nestled on over 3 acres in the forest to all that Door County has to offer including beach, boat & hiking access nearby & plenty of shops & restaurants to keep you busy between times spent enjoying your quiet and private retreat.

Escape to the lakeside woods of Northern Door County & every day life at Door Stop Too. Privately located on over three acres , our cottage home is located within minutes of Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, Baileys Harbor & Washington Island.
This is your private vacation home as a base to explore all that Door County has to offer or simply relax and reconnect with what peace and serenity. Our home is ideal for a family getaway or a trip with friends - and we will surely do our best to give you five star hospitality.
Both cozy & quaint, our home offers an open layout with vaulted ceilings and a floor to ceiling wood burning fireplace. The oversized glass doors and skylights bring the outdoors inside and provide the living areas with lovely natural light! Our spacious patio deck gives you ample area to enjoy dining al fresco or merely sitting out and taking in the soothing sounds of mother nature.
--> Each bedroom provides new, clean & comfortable linens appointed on a comfortable bed with a dresser, nightstand & closet. Primary bedroom has a dedicated workspace and an en suite private full bathroom.
--> Our Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes/glassware, cookware, utensils, microwave, oven/stove, fridge, tea kettle, toaster, blender and coffeemaker.
--> Our Living Area offers ample seating space for reading or watching television on the Smart TV, and one sleeper sofa convertible for additional sleeping space (queen)
--> Our Bathrooms offer a full size shower in one and a combination shower/tub in the second and both have ample towels, body wash and a hair dryer. Our Laundry area is available separately.
Just minutes by car (one mile) to Ellison Bay Beach Park & the public boat launch our turnaround driveway provides the opportunity to bring your boat. Or take a stroll in the hidden gem of the Ellison Bluff State Natural area to which you can walk or drive and offers a scenic hiking area all the way down to the crystal waters of Lake Michigan. We are one block from the lake.
A charcoal grill is provided for your grilling needs. You can relax under the lights at the bonfire pit. And just in case you need some TV time to entertain, our high speed internet provides streaming TV to watch your favorite apps or watch our free channels available on Samsung TV Plus.

Had a wonderful time here in the Home in the Woods. It was everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was close to a few quaint towns and very peaceful.

Great location just north of Sister Bay and south of Ellison Bay. Quiet with a wonderful deck. Clean and newly updated. Would stay again.

Loved this house secluded in the woods just north of Sister Bay! Pictures don’t show how beautiful the view is out the wall of windows, especially in fall! Also loved the wood burning fireplace inside along with the fire pit outside. Everything is sparkling clean and new in the house.

We definitely enjoyed our stay! The property accommodated our group of a senior, parents and grandchildren.
Although not in walking distance to Door Ciunty towns or beeches it is located in a private wooded area conveniently located for driving to all of the northern and central Door County ‘avtivities and beeches.
