About this house rental
Welcome to DOOR 42! Our home is located on the north side of Sister Bay right on the main drag. You and your group are just a short 1.5 mile drive down the hill and into town. Seconds away awaits a trip to the beach, park or a meal at any of Sister Bay's fine restaurants as well as coffee and ice cream shops! Our cottage is perfect for couples and families.
The house is full of Door County character and offers plenty of space for your retreat. Feel free to message me if you are interested in finding out more!
We have provided some literature for the surrounding areas including restaurants, maps, breweries etc. Hopefully they can be of some help! One of our favorite restaurants for scenery is the Boat House, Chop, and The Wickman House. Great breakfast is served at Viking Grill, Ellison Bay or Caroll’s Restaurant here in Sister Bay.

Wonderful property. Only very minor complaint is there are very few lamps (table or floor). Would like to see hoth in the living room and the 2nd king room some table lamps.Thank you for a lovely stay!

Property was very clean and well equipped. Nicely located for our adventures. Would have appreciated a shower/tub mat in each bathroom.

This house worked very well for our two families traveling together. We had 3 little kids and they had room to play and the house was safe and kid-friendly with plenty of space. Our kids rode bikes in the driveway and there is a fire pit. The kitchen is very well outfitted with all kinds of cooking gear. Wifi was reliable. No cable, but we didn’t mind. One bedroom we found a bit cramped and musty and discovered that the fan placed in that room was probably because there’s not great airflow, but it didn’t bother us much. The location is very close to town. We did walk to the ice cream shop and some adults did the walk into town or went for runs - however, the area is not very conducive to foot traffic, the road is narrow and hilly and people drive way too fast so if you’re taking the family into sister bay you’ll need to drive and park. We liked being super close also to Seaquist Cherries and a few other shops and restaurants in the opposite direction of town. Overall we had a great stay! Would recommend!

This was a nice place, good layout, lots of firewood good location.
However, they did not have coffee available upon arrival and the cleaning person/owner arrived at 9:30. Thirty minutes before check out and sat in the car. It made everyone very uncomfortable at the end.
