Casa Mimosa Capistrano Nerja

The apartment was beautiful, we had some concern before arrival that there was no air con in the bedroom, however the air con in the living room was great and enough to keep the bedroom cool. The pool area was excellent and staff at the pool bar were very friendly. The scenery from the apartment was beautiful and the area felt very safe.

The only slight problem with the apartment was that it was located on a steep hill. Most likely not suitable if not physically fit. However there is an excellent taxi service in the area.

The apartment is in a beautiful setting, with stunning views over Nerja, as well as the mountains below. The bed was really comfortable, and balcony has a huge canopy which was great. There are 2 swimming pools, both of which had a pool bar, and there are also 2 good supermarkets within walking distance. We had great communication with our host, who even let us store our luggage at her office on our last day in Nerja.

This apartment has the potential to be absolutely fantastic, however there were just a few things I think have been overlooked/not made clear in listing. When you arrive, expect to buy a lot of basics such as hand soap, washing up liquid, bin bags, toilet roll, kitchen roll - as none of these were provided. We also arrived late at night, and there were no bottles of water left for us in the apartment which I felt was disappointing. The apartment is up a very steep hill, and is very far out of the centre of nerja. A taxi into nerja will cost you just under €10, but we found ourselves walking a lot. Even as 2 young and relatively fit people, this was really a lot in the heat. The swimming pools are not on Calle.las mimosas, but instead are at the Capistrano village reception, which is a few minutes walk away from the apartment (down a hill). The pools are lovely, but it was like the hunger games every day to get a parasol, as there are nowhere near enough of them at the pool for the number of guests. It was too hot when we were there to lie by the pool without a parasol, but maybe this won't be a problem if you are there in low season. Also, if you want to use a sunbed at the pool it costs €3.50 per day. I was not aware of this prior to booking so was a little surprised. Checkout on the final day is very early (10am). The door of the apartment was knocked at 10.05am by cleaners who weren't the most pleasant. So, really do expect to be out by 10am. Overall, a lovely setting which has the potential to be amazing. Maybe just a few small things to think about.

Nicely decorated/furnished apartment in a quiet location on the outskirts of Nerja with air conditioning. Balcony has sea view and the canopy was definitely needed with the heat. Lovely on site swimming pool. Great directions and instructions to get into the apartment sent beforehand in English.

Could have done with air conditioning in the bedroom.
