Casa Bella para peregrinos- Charm House for pilgrims

The location was wonderful but above alla our host, Carmen, was really nice with us!!

An atmospheric and unique apartment with fascinating history. My favourite place I’ve stayed on Camino so far. Carmen is a gem of a host. I only had one question for her which was where to go for good seafood. She recommended any of the restaurants down by the seafront. I happened to walk into her father’s place where Carmen was working. I asked her why she didn’t recommend it to me and she told me she doesn’t like to promote the restaurant to guests. I can certainly recommend it. The clams and grilled scallops were delicious, a really enjoyable meal.

Absolutely wonderful and very spacious apartment/loft right on the Camino. Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped into this art filled oasis. Immaculately clean, superb bed and linens, large bathroom with a soothing shower, snacks, and chilled water. Carmen met us with a smile and made us feel so welcome. Excellent restaurants and coffee cafe nearby. Perfection 10/10!!

This was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in since starting the camino in Porto. It was better than any hotel we stayed in, and our host was so nice she met us on our arrival and showed us around the apartment. We would have loved to have stayed an extra night, but time is not on our sidehere and we will definitely tell family and friends about this gem of a place. Definitely 10 out of 10.
