Elegant apartment in Athens

The host is friendly and communicative. Apartment is good for a short stay.

The neighborhood is not the best, I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travelers. The floors were dusty and there was hair on several surfaces. The bathroom didn’t seem like it was thoroughly cleaned. The sofa bed is available when the apartment is booked for 3 people so it wasn’t made for us (2 people) and that wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the booking description but the host arranged to set it up. The inside of the sofa was dirty and the cleaner didn’t remove the previous sheet even though it was extremely dirty. New sheet was just put over it and the linen for the blanket also had stains on it. There was no sponge for cleaning the dishes.

Spacious and modern. Very quiet because it faces a silent courtyard. Comfortable bed. Higher ground floor so it is optimal for those with suitcases and fast entry/exit. Excellent communication with the host. Warm. Lovely balcony which is even better in summer as it doesn't get direct sunshine (I used it mainly to keep citrus fruit fresh). Clean building.

Sometimes the WiFi is slow (I am an online trader so I always need fast WiFi and that was not optimal). There is a large, good quality pot and two frying pans - an additional pot would enable guests to cook pasta sauce. The bed sheets are good quality but it takes two days for them to dry even when the living room is warm.
