Green House

The Green House is situated on a narrow and steep road in a beautiful location and easy access to the main part of the city and other landmarks (eg The Super Bock Arena). The layout of the property is very nice with each suite having access to raised open patio area, ideal for relaxing with some beers or wine under the sun. I was met by Paula who was very helpful and welcoming when I arrived. She showed me that guests also have access to a nice kitchen for cooking etc. My own suite was very comfortable with a bathroom and walk-in shower.

I cannot say there is anything I disliked about the property. I would maybe warn people with mobility issues that this is on quite a steep hill and to suggest travelling by uber (although some cars might have difficulty accessing the property). However, this is likely to be the case with practically any hotels/apartments in Porto, considering the city is largely built on a hill. All my friends that were staying locally in various hotels, experienced very tiring uphill walks to the main part of the city.

I had a very enjoyable stay; Paula was a great host. It's a very nice place, near the garden, with a beautiful panoramic view of Porto. It's a place away from the hustle and bustle. Definitely worth it, and I'll recommend it to my friends. Wine provided by Paula was also most welcomed.

During my stay, there was a problem with the toilet flush. Fortunately, when I reported it, Paula did everything she could to fix it. While the problem persisted, I had the option of using the other toilet. Of course, the problem didn't last long and was fixed. Additionally, when I asked, a fan was installed in my room, which was very nice.

The place was difficult to get to by taxi - narrow cobbled streets and cul-de-sac. Taxi driver had difficulty locating the correct route to the property, but once there pedestrian access was great.

Proprietaria estremamente gentile e disponibile. Ottima posizione che permette di raggiungere il centro a piedi in pochi minuti ed è vicina a supermercati e ristoranti o caffetterie.

Gli spazi al limite della vivibilità per due persone, sia in camera che in bagno. Le porte del bagno e dell'armadio erano comunicanti e non permettevano l'accesso all'uno e all'altro contemporaneamente. Poca attenzione ai dettagli (ad esempio la spalliera del letto in similpelle era rovinata, il copriwater non manteneva la posizione sollevata). Non era dichiarato che i servizi di ristorazione e la terrazza fossero collocati in aree di utilizzo condiviso con la proprietaria.
