- Fully self-contained and playfully decorated ocean-themed suite with 200sq foot partly covered Lanai deck overlooking beautiful outdoor gardens (includes outdoor games). A sandy beach is just steps away.
- Barbecue and enjoy sunset dining in complete privacy, cozied up beside your propane fire pit under the stars.
Everything you need to cook, relax or work (if you can take your eyes off the views!) is provided. Eat outside or at the breakfast bar 🦞🍳 in your stocked kitchen (oils, spices, tea, coffee etc.) featuring full sized dishwasher, stove, microwave, fridge, and laundry centre. Guests are welcome to entertain friends on the expansive deck and lawn.

Mermaid's indoor and outdoor space for guest use is fully accessible (level driveway, ramp access, stair free in and out, low barrier shower with seat).

🛵 Walking distance for local coffee and fresh baked pastries, or 7 minutes drive time to the quaint seaside towns of Chemainus or Ladysmith for golf, theatre, pubs, music, fine dining, thrifting & shopping. Just 25 min drive to Ferries + Duncan or Nanaimo.

Everything was just as lovely as we expected. The photos and descriptions in the app were very accurate. Our hostess,Ceri came to welcome us And give us some ideas of things to do while here. We had a lovely time and were very comfy and cozy here in the cottage.

The Salty Mermaid is a great place to stay. It’s got everything you need and more. The area is fun to walk and close to beach access points. Bill and Ceri have created a warm and welcoming space. We recommend it and will hopefully visit again.

Hosts were wonderful and welcoming, place was super comfortable and had beautiful views. Super quiet and we hope to come back some day
