NOBILIS RESIDENCE

My daughter and I were traveling together in Prague, we stayed at the Nobilis aparthotel. I was satisfied with the condition of the room I occupied. However, the receptionist service was very bad/impolite and the "make up room" service was very disappointing. One day we left our room around 10 am with a "please make up room" label hanging. At 6 pm we returned to the room and found our room door unlocked/open and the "please make up room" label still hanging on the outside handle of the door as when I left the room that morning. I went into the room and checked to see if there was anyone else in the room, whether any of our belongings were missing. The condition inside the room had not been cleaned at all but the trash can had been emptied. In conclusion, the staff who had emptied the trash in the room I was occupying had left the room without closing the door. I could only send a WhatsApp message to the receptionist's phone number and explain my situation, because at that time the reception was closed because the reception hours are 8 am - 5 pm. The next morning we went to the receptionist because there was no response to the WhatsApp message I had sent the previous night. Long story short, we were served by a woman who could communicate in English quite well, she was willing to listen to our story, she apologized and gave us a late check out until 2 pm. After that, we went to lunch and returned to the hotel at 1 pm, but we couldn't enter the hotel building and the room, so we pressed the bell and the door was opened by a receptionist woman with l*** who was very grumpy and grumbling, very rude! When we arrived in front of the room, we couldn't enter the room, so I had to call the receptionist and while continuing to grumble, she said she would go up to open the room. Then we checked out online at 2 pm. We canceled our plan to leave our suitcases at the receptionist because we were fed up and lazy to talk to the receptionist woman again. I will not stay at this aparthotel again if I go to Prague

Outstanding accommodation.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Nobilis, it was truly the best value for money stay I’ve had! The room was large, modern and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious and delivered to the door. There’s instant hot water in the shower and good Wi-Fi. The only downside is that the pillows are not quite what we’re used to. Plus, the service is great - when I booked through Agoda and didn’t get an email for my contactless check-in, I emailed the morning of my flight and got a very quick reply. The ‘contactless’ check-in/key system was smooth, though there’s one receptionist to answer questions between 8-5. Looking forward to another stay!

We arrived early and found a locked door with instructions on how to get in (with codes). What we didn’t see at the end of all of that was a bell to raise reception staff, so our mistake there. That being said, I had messaged requesting either early check in if possible or access to store luggage, and had not received a response in over 3 hours. I messaged again on arrival, the heading was “Need assistance to access the building”. I then detailed that we were outside the building and would like either early access or luggage storage access if possible. Nearly 30 minutes later I receive a response to my email, providing online check in info which we completed (sitting on a park bench with our passports out as emergency services vehicles constantly (and I mean, constantly) raced past with sirens wailing, obtained our codes and entered the building to find the receptionist sitting at her desk! When we asked why she didn’t let us in, she replied that we should have rung the bell, despite having responded to our email. Perhaps a little more customer focussed response might’ve been better start. A simple invitation to come inside and check in, perhaps? All of that being said, the room was lovely, exactly as in the photos and immaculate. A little bit of a musty smell from the shower drain but the building itself is very old. The location is very noisy but well soundproofed inside. The sirens seemed to stop /lessen around 10pm so it was fairly quiet when sleeping. On the last night our electronic door lock failed, a bit unnerving given all the sirens we constantly heard outside.
