Thiessow is a former fishing village on the southeastern headland of the island of Rügen. After passing through a narrow strip of land between Lake Zickersee and the Baltic Sea, vacationers seeking peace and quiet will find a truly idyllic setting. The village, with its beautiful vacation homes, is clustered around the Lotsenberg, which is perfect for romantic walks. From its observation tower, a breathtaking panoramic view unfolds at any time of day, inviting visitors to take short hikes to the Bodden, the west beach, and the cliffs of Klein Zicker. For photographers, this offers some of the most beautiful subjects. In addition to the long, stretchy East Beach—which features areas for clothed swimmers, dogs, and nudists—a short walk through the woods leads to a natural beach on the south side as well as the West Beach, which also offers excellent water sports opportunities, including boat rentals and a surf school. The well-developed network of bike paths makes it easy to explore the Mönchgut Peninsula and continues through the Baaber Heide and Granitz nature reserves to the Baltic Sea resorts of Göhren, Baabe, Sellin, and Binz. Vacation Apartment 8 at Haus Sterntaucher is located on the upper floor of an apartment building with a total of 8 units in a quiet residential area, just about 200 m from the fine sandy beach of the East Beach at the foot of the Lotsenberg.
Haus Sterntaucher Apt. 08 Evening Sun with Fireplace & Balcony:
This approximately 80-square-meter attic apartment is part of the Sterntaucher vacation home, a complex of 8 apartments built in the traditional seaside resort architectural style. This non-smoking apartment is modern and furnished to a high standard. It accommodates 2 to 5 people. The living/dining room, furnished in a country house style with solid wood furniture, features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the spacious rooms with plenty of natural light. The living area is rounded out with a couch (which can be converted into a bed for the 5th person; 1.20 m x 2.00 m) with a coffee table, a reading lamp, a smart TV, a Blu-ray player, and a radio with a CD player and USB port. A variety of board games and books invite you to relax in good company or enjoy cozy moments for two. During the colder months, the fireplace is a special highlight. You won’t have to do without an internet connection (Wi-Fi) either—it’s included for your use. From the living area, you can step out onto the furnished balcony, which features a parasol and faces south. The adjacent, comfortable kitchenette is connected to the living area. With a ceramic cooktop, an oven, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a De’Longhi Nespresso machine, a kettle, a toaster, and plenty of cooking utensils, you can cook to your heart’s content. The larger bedroom features a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m with a comfortable height), nightstands, a wardrobe, a desk, and a flat-screen TV. The smaller bedroom features two single beds (0.90 m x 2.00 m), along with nightstands, a wardrobe, and a desk. Both bedrooms can be darkened with shutters. The bathroom, which has natural light, is equipped with a walk-in glass shower, a sink, a toilet, a washing machine, a makeup mirror, a hair dryer, and a heated towel rack. All rooms are equipped with underfloor heating. The utility room contains various cleaning supplies as well as a clothes drying rack, an ironing board, and an iron. There are insect screens on the bedroom window and the balcony door. Pets are not allowed. For our younger guests, 1 travel crib (without a mattress cover or extra mattress) and 1 high chair are provided. You’ll find a parking space (No. 08) right next to the property, as well as a private shed (No. 08) where you can store any bicycles you’ve rented or brought with you. You can book an initial linen package (complete set of bed linens, 1 bath towel, 2 small hand towels) for an additional fee up to 14 days before arrival, or supplement it with your own linens. If you book 2 or more packages, you’ll receive 1 dish towel and 1 shower mat as a one-time bonus.
