It was fine for a couple of nights. Very basic as to be expected from a 2 star.

Loved the rooms, location, hosts. Would definitely recommend it.

Location was wonderful. Central to Santa Margherita town. Easy to walk around. Near good restaurants.

The only suggestion is that the shower stall needs a curtain as the wall is not long enough and water gets out everywhere on the floor. It could be unsafe or slippery even with the bathmat as it gets wet.

Close walk to the water and restaurants, dedicated parking space for our stay. Accommodations were clean.

Wonderful hosts, kind and helpful. Gave us great tips. Perfect location. Our room was spotlessly clean, modern and huge. New bathroom as well. We do not understand why this is rated 1 * as it’s easily 3*.

Parking is an issue we had to wait for a spot to become free on street. Had to use 3 different keys to get back into the property at night. Room nice and clean but very basic

I felt like I was in a backpackers hostel.. I obviously didn’t see the rating when I booked . It was clean thank goodness , but the building was old and run down, not what we usually stay in. The staff were lovely .. if you usually book a 1 star and you’re used to that it’s good ..

Town is nice hotel left us with bad memories

the hotel appears to be a backpackers with a few upmarket rooms on the side there are no hotel facilities and very limited reception. They charged us for a towel that had shampoo on it, just needed washing and they tried to charge us another 60 euro for parking and we had parked on free parking on the road which had nothing to do with the hotel and was outside of another building. The owner or owners are scammers trying to rip people off they dropped the parking as soon as they realised we knew it was nothing to do with them. Also no fridge in the room. Have used booking .com hundreds of times and this is the first time we have left a bad review.

Perfect stay near Portofino

Wonderful place. So clean, slept wonderfully in the big comfortable bed. All newly renovated and still with charm. Perfect quiet location with only minutes to the board walk. Local coffee shop. Great value. Would love to come back. Best recommendations.

Simple, clean, safe place to stay for a solo female traveller. Very kind helpful staff!

Room was simple, clean and safe. Bed was clean and was comfy enough, available smart tv that lets me log into my Netflix account. A window that opens to let some cool air in when it’s too warm, comes with a day curtain. Housekeeping came everyday to clean the room. The hotel is a short walk from the centre and was safe going to and fro during the day. Can’t comment about safety at night as I didn’t go out at night. Early check out (I checked out before 7am) was allowed, I paid the day before and the kind lady gave me instructions on what to do since I had to leave very early the next morning.

Sink had little space for toiletries but not a big problem.

maybe it’s because of where my room was located but I could hear the cleaner dropping toilet seats and making a noise while cleaning other rooms - obviously not her fault but it made for an early wake-up on the first morning

Superb

Room was an excellent size . The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Reading other comments people said it was loud but we found it quiet and peaceful. This is a 1 star hotel and far exceeds expectations. Those that complain should perhaps book a 3 star hotel.

The parking is described as on site but it is actually free street parking nearby.

Pleasant and good value

Bed was very comfy, good hot shower, spacious clean room. Annabella was super kind and helpful. Our stay was very pleasant from door to door and we slept so good. It was worth the money for one night.

Great Value for money. Amenities basic but great condition, room recently renovated like brand new. The owner is really helpful. The location is excellent 1 min walk to portofino bus, 10 min walk to station. Really nice pizza place called le arcate 2 minute walk for late night snacks. Would stay again if we go to that part of the world.

It's more like in most Italian hotels the inner cover sheet is smaller than the outer blanket. No shower curtain hence the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower. No mirror in the room so you have to go in the wet bathroom to get ready. But overall a really nice experience.

Exceptional

I stayed in a double room. In the past, it was a multi-room apartment. But it has been renovated and remodeled. At the same time, the authentic entrance common door has been preserved. The landing of the floor and this door create an atmosphere of historical charm. The condition of the room is very new. High quality bed linen. Wide comfortable bed.

However, poor sound insulation from other rooms.
